2/27/2019-Edilson Alvarez will serve as field manager for
the Bakersfield Train Robbers.
Edilson managed the Monterey Amberjacks for the first 10 days of the 2019 season before being sent to Salina in Can Am League. Edilson was Salinas best pitcher on the staff winning 4 starts. At the end of Salinas season he was drafted by Ottawa in the dispursal draft.
Edilson has pitched in Three Rivers (Trois Riveres) in the Can Am
League since 2015. He won the Can Am
League/American Association All Star Game in
2016. Edilson was the 2013 Pecos League Pitcher of the Year. Edilson pitched in the Minnesota
Twins Organization from 2009-2011. Edilson also pitches in Winter Ball in the Dominican Republic
Edilson was originally signed by the Minnesota
Twins from the Dominican Republic. He signed
with the Las Vegas Train Robbers and played
three weeks with the Douglas Diablos before
heading to Three Rivers. He was one of the key
members of Three Rivers Championship Team.
The Train Robbers begin Spring Training on May 23, 2019 .
